Just months ago, Jaco du Toit and his family believed they had beaten cancer.

After being diagnosed with Stage 2B Melanoma in 2025, Jaco underwent surgery to remove the melanoma and later received the news every family hopes for, his scans were clear. After the fear, uncertainty, and emotional toll of the first diagnosis, life finally started looking normal again for this family.

But only a short time later, everything changed.

Jaco’s cancer has now progressed to Stage 3, with new cancer growths discovered close to his lungs, progressing at an alarming pace despite him being declared cancer free only months ago. Doctors have confirmed that he urgently needs surgery to remove the affected lymph nodes in an attempt to prevent the cancer from spreading further.
