Jaden Swanepoel hospital fund

Hello Family and friends... Two weeks has passed since Jaden has been in hospital, and his condition remains the same since our meeting with the doctor last Friday. He has contracted a bacterial  infection which is affecting his lungs due to the mucus build up which he is desperately trying to cough out on his own, however impossible because of the ventilator tube. This past weekend was particularly difficult with him since he has started biting on the tube, this is one of major risks the doctor highlighted as he is restricting oxygen to his lungs which could ultimately damage his brain further. The way forward is to go ahead with the Trachea procedure this week so they can remove the tube from throat and insert it through the neck allowing him to cough out the mucus and reducing the risk further infection and further damage to his brain. During this time we have decided to stop all visits to the hospital until further notice to allow Jaden the healing and recovery and reduce the risk of spreading infections.
