5 Years ago, JL du Toit was diagnosed with cancer and he lost his leg in Des 2022 due to complications. One month after JL's leg was amputated, he was back on the range, determined not to give up! Feb 23 he partake in a target archery competition, but this time as a Para Archer. After alot of setbacks and equipment issues, JL pushes beyond boundaries and become the Outdoor and Indoor Namibian National Champion in the Compound Mens Open division. Setting his target now on the 2024 Paralympics, JL will compete in the 8th Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Event in Dubai. JL will also be classified for future International competitions and as this is the last change to qualify for the paralympics, JL will need a little help to make his dream possible and make his country proud. JL is the only male Para Archer at the moment in Namibia.
