Janine Runs for Rainbows

My heart is brimming with excitement and purpose, as I prepare to embark on a journey that is both exhilarating and deeply meaningful. My name is Janine, and I have set my sights on a formidable challenge - running the Comrades Marathon for childhood cancer awareness and raising funds for Rainbows & Smiles Charity.

My Comrades quest didn't begin with a desire for personal glory or achievement. Instead, it emerged from a simple goal I set for myself at the start of 2023: to step outside my comfort zone and embrace new challenges. Many of my friends thought I had lost the plot, but here I stand, just days away from race day, fueled by determination and fueled by purpose.

Along my journey, I have been blessed with the incredible privilege of crossing paths with remarkable individuals - seasoned veterans of the Comrades Marathon who generously shared their wisdom and expertise with me, free of charge. Their guidance has been invaluable, and now, I am determined to pay it forward.
