Hi, I am Arno Duvenhage, and I am from Gauteng, Pretoria.

My dear wife's name is Nadia. We have a 4-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old boy. Our daughter, Jasmijn was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was 4 months old. She has a rare genetic condition that causes uncontrolled epilepsy, slow development and poor muscle tone.

We have depleted all of our savings on her treatment and medication.  She has many special needs. Unfortunately the bills for medication, therapy and special equipment just keep adding up and our medical aid covers only a fraction of her needs.

Nadia has, up until now, not been unable to work as she has to stay at home to take care of Jasmijn, which is a full-time job.

We need urgent financial help to keep on caring for Jasmijn:

  • she needs a new wheelchair (around R60k)
  • she requires multiple anti-epileptic and other drugs (around R2000 per month)
  • recurring specialist visits and rehabilitative sessions (around R5000 per month)
  • feeding tubes, cpap masks, medical stock (...
