Jean-Daniel is a young man of 21 years who has a passion for life. He is further most passionate about the Lord and His Word. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in November 2022 and has suffered health setbacks since then.
The Lord has blessed Jean-Daniel with many talents. He was South Africa's Under 20 Chess champion in 2023. He completed grade 8 exams in cello and piano. At the time of his diagnosis, he was preparing for his licentiate in both instruments.
- He played cello in the University of Pretoria Symphony Orchestra.
- He completed his first year BSc Biomedicine in 2024, despite his illness.
- He loves horse riding and gymnastics.
At the time of his diagnosis in November 2022, Jean-Daniel received acute treatment for 3 weeks. He then moved to the intensification phase which his body could not take. He had to move to other treatments, which were not covered by the medical scheme.
