Joanita, my sister-in-law, is a single mother to 2 sons aged 15 and 7 who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer a week after her 36th birthday in January 2023.
She does not have a medical aid or any medical insurance and needed to raise funds for Mammogram/Sonar as well as the biopsy, which was paid and she is now on Trials doing Chemo which should end around June 2023 but we cant predict what the chemo outcome will be as yet, so far it is going really well.
After the Chemo, either a breast removal or the cancer will need to be removed which will not be covered by the trials and there aren't any funds available for this. I want the funds raised for her so that she can fully concentrate on getting well and healing knowing she will not have to stress about not being able to pay for this much needed procedure. If money is not raised, it will have to wait until such time which we all know should not be delayed.
