Johannesburg Children's Choir on Tour

As a passionate choral conductor, I founded the Johannesburg Children's Choir in 2025 to fulfil a lifelong dream of bringing young voices from across Johannesburg together. My vision is not only to create beautiful music, but also to provide children with a sense of belonging, purpose, and accomplishment. In a remarkably short time, the choir has achieved outstanding success. They have performed in two operas alongside the Cape Town Opera Company and Sempre Opera, were crowned overall winners in two categories at the Con Spirito National Eisteddfod in their very first year, performed Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with the Johannesburg Symphony Choir, and shared the stage with renowned Afrikaans singer Jo Black.

The choir has now been invited to participate in the Cantamus National Choir Competition in George from 7 to 10 August. This is an incredible opportunity for these talented young singers to represent Johannesburg on a national stage, grow as musicians, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
