My name is Jordan Mladovan, and I am a passionate South African open water swimmer who has officially qualified to represent South Africa at the World Aquatics Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Santa Fe, Argentina from 3–6 September.

This opportunity is a dream come true and one that I have worked towards for years through countless early mornings, demanding training sessions, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication to the sport I love. Being selected to wear the South African flag on the international stage is one of the greatest honours of my life.

Competing at Junior Worlds means racing against the best young open water swimmers in the world and gaining invaluable international experience that will help shape my future in the sport.

Unfortunately, the costs involved in attending the championships are extremely high, and like many athletes, funding international competition is a major challenge. The total cost of the trip is approximately R60,000, which includes:
