Motorbike rider hit and run

Good day. What started out to be a beautiful day ended in tragedy. My husband was riding his motorcycle home doing between 90/100kmph minding his own business when a drunk driver was tailing him and deliberately side smacked me off the road for no reason at all. We do have dash cam footage from a gentleman that was traveling abit behind us and saw the whole thing and chased the vehicle down. But as the vehicle stopped the drunk driver fled the scene and has not yet been found. He spent 3 days in a state hospital with no assistance on cleaning his wounds and his elbow got an infection, he also has a broken ankle so cannot work. He does private work to get us by but because of his injuries he cannot. He is now sitting with a ambulance bill he cannot afford, a motorcycle he cannot fix which is his only transport and still waiting on a hospital bill as he was recently discharged.
