My husband was told he had 12 months to find a kidney, to save his life. I was four months pregnant at the time. Our world was never going to be the same again.
Justin is the epitome of goodness and kindness; he can walk into a room and, within minutes, have everyone laughing – his joy is infectious, his heart wide open. He now faces the biggest challenge of his life. And yet, even in the midst of it all, he still manages to smile, to love, to put others before himself.
A second chance at life
On 26 March, Justin will receive the most selfless gift imaginable – one of his closest friends, Marc Ancillotti, is giving him a kidney. A piece of himself so that my husband can have the future we’ve dreamed of. A future together as a family with our daughter, Pippa. A future where he gets to keep being the man who lights up every room he walks into.
