Karin is a friend of mine and her situation shook me. So I am approaching you for help.

Karin Otto's story.

On 11 October 2024, Karin's husband, his friend and their two boys drove from Upington to their home in Grootdrink. About 20km from Upington at Gifkloof, the van they were driving burst a tire and rolled several times off the road and came to rest against a tree. Not only were her two boys in the van, but also various materials, e.g. gas bottles, tyres, wooden boards and jacks. Her youngest son (Ethan) was sleeping and at the time of the roll, fell out of the back door of the van. Mercifully, he was not seriously injured. Her husband (Cyril) died shortly after. The driver of the van was stucked in the vehicle and her eldest son (Keanan) lost consciousness at the scene of the accident. Help soon arrived and Keanan was stabilized and immediately taken to Dr. Harry Surtie Hospital in Upington where he was admitted to ICU. He is still in the hospital.
