Kelvin’s Brave Level-Up
Kelvin was nine years old, and if you asked him what his favorite things were, he would grin and say, “Online games and karate!”
In his games, Kelvin was a hero—saving worlds, solving puzzles, and never giving up when things got hard. In karate class, he wore his white gi with pride, practicing his kicks and bows, dreaming of the day he would earn his black belt.
Karate made Kelvin feel strong. It taught him discipline, courage, and how to stand back up after falling down.
But in 2025, Kelvin’s life changed.
After many doctor visits and confusing tests, Kelvin and his family heard a word they had never expected: Fanconi anemia. It was a rare and serious illness, and it meant Kelvin’s body could no longer make healthy blood on its own. The hardest part for Kelvin wasn’t the hospital visits—it was being told he had to stop karate.
No more training.
No more sparring.
No more shouting “Hi-ya!” with his friends.


At first, Kelvin felt like he had lost a part of himself. But even when his body felt tired, his heart stayed strong....
