Kenzie Malan has been selected to represent South Africa in the Youth World Artistic Swimming Championships in Greece from the 23rd to 30th August - not only as a team member, but as the soloist for South Africa. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a young athlete who has poured her heart, soul and every ounce of energy into her dream. 

Kenzie is just 14 years old but has already shown the kind of discipline, talent and resilience that most adults would admire. She trains daily and has committed everything to her sport. As her mom, I have supported her every step of the way, personally covering the costs of multiple training camps in Cape Town and all the preparations leading up to this point. 

We were promised a sponsorship that would help cover the final cost of R70,000 needed for flights, accommodation and visas. That sponsor has just pulled out, with only three weeks left before she is due to travel. We are devasta...
