Khumos Heart surgery

Khumoentle was born with valvular atresia, a condition where a heart valve is completely shut, missing an opening, or severely narrowed. Unfortunately, the condition was only diagnosed when he turned 11 months old after we noticed concerning symptoms and sought urgent medical attention.

He was subsequently admitted to Netcare Sunninghill Hospital, where he underwent open heart surgery. While we had hoped for a full recovery following the procedure, Khumoentle has unfortunately not recovered as expected and continues to require follow-up treatments, consultations, and ongoing medical care.
In addition to preparing for his upcoming procedure and treatment scheduled for the 12th of June 2026, we are also struggling with outstanding balances from his previous surgery and treatments. Unfortunately, our medical aid did not fully cover certain treatments, procedures, specialist consultations, and related medical services, leaving us with significant medical debt that we are still trying to settle.
