Wits Medics Kili Challenge

 

This is done to end off a year of Fundraising. 

 

What fundraising? Well each year Wits medical school sponsors a smile week of reconstructive craniofacial, hairlip/cleft palate among other surgeries for kiddos in need. As Nelson Mandela once said “Giving children a healthy start in life, no matter where they are born or the circumstances of their birth, is the moral obligation of every one of us. These are kiddos that deserve a chance to eat, speak, breathe or simply function effectively with a Smile while doing so. 

 

The targeted R500 K gets +- 20 kid’s the necessary operations needed , covering theatre costs and peri operative care along with possible complications.
