About This Campaign

My name is Mishkah Cader, and I am a 3rd-year MBChB student at Stellenbosch University. Running is a major part of my life. I run 3–4 days a week and this year completed my first marathon at the Cape Peninsula Marathon.
That is why I want to start KM4KIDS alongside Emma Nel, Jessé Prinsloo and Dian Erasmus. KM4KIDS is a campaign where every kilometre counts. Whether that kilometre is completed through running, cycling or swimming, every kilometre will contribute towards supporting vulnerable children receiving care at Tygerberg Hospital through the Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust.
The Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust is a registered non-profit and public benefit organisation, established in 2001, dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children at Tygerberg Hospital. Funds raised will go towards critical neonatal and paediatric medical equipment. As medical students in the public healthcare system, we have seen what children and families endure. Their strength reminds us why this matters.
