Today we share our little boy's story with heavy hearts and hope in our souls.
Little Werner-Xian Wentzel was born on April 2, 2026 – a precious prem baby who has been fighting a great battle for his life since his first moments.
Shortly after birth, doctors discovered that he:
has an enlarged heart
has a hole in his heart
and that one of his lungs has collapsed
He is currently in Netcare Sunninghill Hospital where he is receiving critical care. Unfortunately, his condition is very fragile and his little body can no longer handle certain treatments.
His mother Jauhne Wentzel and father Werner Wentzel are from Rustenburg and are now permanently with him in Johannesburg. At home, his older brother Liam and sister Mieke are waiting with longing and love for their family.
