About This Campaign

My name is Kutlwano Mahlayeye, and I am a 24-year-old aspiring clinical psychologist with a deep passion for mental health advocacy. I was pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioural Science with Psychology and Sociology at North-West University, Potchefstroom, but financial constraints forced me to put my studies on hold. Despite this setback, I have never given up on my dream. I am actively working towards my goal of improving mental health accessibility in South Africa, but I need your help to continue my education and make this vision a reality.
South Africa faces a mental health crisis, especially in underprivileged communities like Hammanskraal, where I grew up. Resources are scarce, mental health struggles are often dismissed, and professional support is out of reach for many. My goal is to bridge this gap by developing community-based mental health programs and integrating psychological support into workplace environments. I firmly believe that mental well-being is essential—not just for individuals but for the economy, productivity, and social stability.
