KWELA stands for Kids With Energy Love Activity. KWELA Camp is an intensive therapeutic camp for ages 6 – 10 yrs where the skills they learn are put directly into practice. Kwela is a 5-day sleep over camp where all meals are provided. The children form part of groups and participate in full day programme of therapeutic groups and fun activities - run by trained Occupational Therapists.
This December, three remarkable children are hoping for the chance to attend Kwela Camp - a therapeutic, supportive, and transformative environment designed especially for neurodivergent children. Each of these children carries their own challenges, strengths, and dreams. For them, attending Kwela Camp isn’t simply a holiday experience; it is an opportunity for emotional growth, therapeutic progress, and a rare feeling of acceptance and belonging. For these three children, attending KWELA Camp could fundamentally shift the trajectory of their emotional and developmental wellbeing.
