I have been resident in the Overberg for 15+ years. The 12000 sq km region is a generational agricultural area ( 7th and 8th gen.) and also a tourism hub, where the tip of africa [ Cape Agulhas} can be found. We are fighting a mining prospecting company who wants to create an open cast gold/silver & tin mine over a space of over 40 square kilometres in this pristine area. It houses the Rhenosterveld as well as de Hoop, de Mond and the Nuwejaars Wetlands (46 000 HA). All the waterways would be polluted. PLEASE!!! We require support to fight this !!!!
