HELP ME REBUILD MY DREAM TATTOO STUDIO

My name is Marius Bosman, and I have been tattooing since 1992.

For more than 30 years, tattooing has been my passion, my livelihood and a huge part of who I am. I opened the first tattoo studio in the history of Stellenbosch and have had the privilege of watching, and contributing to, the evolution of the tattoo industry in Cape Town and South Africa.

But behind the tattoos is a story of a man who has had to keep getting back up.

In 2012, my wife passed away just five days after our son was born. Overnight, I became a single father. My daughter is now 16 and my son is 14. Raising my children while trying to keep a career going has not always been easy, but I kept pushing forward because they needed me.

About two years ago, I gave up my business and moved to Jeffreys Bay to join a friend in a tattoo studio. Sadly, the friendship turned sour and I was left with a shop that had little to no income. I fought to keep a roof over our heads and, in the process, lost almost everything.
