Good day.
My name is André Gouws, father of Leh-André Jansen van Vuuren. I am trying to raise funds for my daughter. Leh-André was diagnosed last year, in June 2023 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
She was admitted to Universitas Hospital in Bloemfontein where the doctors started with chemotherapy. She received blood and platelets to bring her count up. She went through a very tough time while receiving the chemo. She lost her sight, her hair, and weight and was in terrible pain.
We thank our Heavenly Father for keeping His hand over her for the six months in hospital. She recovered nicely and had only 0.005% of cancer in her bone marrow and her blood was clean.
Leh-André gained her eyesight after the doctors drained the dry blood from behind her eyes but have to start wearing glasses.
Leh-André was doing very well for ten months.
On 11th November 2024, she went for her monthly examination, and the doctors picked up that the AML was back. She now has 90% cancer in her bone marrow and 17% in her bl...
