Hi, I’m Jihad, I’m 24, and this is honestly not something I ever thought I’d be doing but here we are.

After school, I faced the same choice a lot of us do: either give up on studying or take out a student loan. Public universities didn’t have space, private institute kids don't get bursaries, and working full-time without a qualification wasn’t really an option. So I chose education, knowing it would come with a heavy price later on.

Fast-forward to now, I’ve got both an undergrad and an honours degree, I’m working a proper 9–5, doing everything I was “supposed” to do… and I’m still constantly playing catch-up.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but joh haai shame.
