Hi everyone!
We have set up this BackaBuddy campaign to help get Glentin to Tokyo for an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime rugby opportunity.
Glentin was originally selected as a non-traveling reserve for the South African Deaf Rugby Association (SADRA) 7s team, who will be competing in Tokyo starting on the 31st of October.
Now, an amazing door has opened: he has officially been offered the chance to step up and play for the Barbarians team at the very same tournament!
Anyone who knows Glentin knows his absolute dedication and passion for the sport. He puts in the hard work, training five days a week, and always leaves everything on the field.
He has proudly represented SADRA in the past, and he had a fantastic season this year running out for the Park Rugby Club 1st reserve and 2nd teams, helping the 2nds win the Gold in the Grand Challenge final!
Because this incredible opportunity to join the Barbarians has come up so close to the tournament date, getting to Japan is a massive financial hurdle.
