Help Bronwyn Brown Fight for Her Life
My name is Megan Natus, and I am fundraising for my sister, Bronwyn Brown, a 34-year-old mother from Mitchells Plain who is courageously fighting for her life.
Bronwyn has lived with diabetes since the age of 11, managing this chronic illness for over 23 years. At just 30 years old, she suffered a stroke and was later diagnosed with epilepsy, caused by the long-term effects of diabetes. By the grace of God and through immense strength, she survived the stroke, though it left her with ongoing speech and swallowing difficulties. Her epilepsy causes monthly seizures, often triggered by hormonal imbalances, and each episode takes 2–3 days to recover from, leaving her physically exhausted.
In November 2025, during a scheduled check-up at Groote Schuur Hospital, our world was shattered when doctors discovered that Bronwyn is in end-stage kidney failure, with only 5% kidney function remaining.
