HELP OPEN A NEW LGBTQ+ SAFE SPACE IN DURBAN
The goal:
All donations are going towards opening a brand new LGBTIQA+ safe space in Durban,
under the leadership of Thomie Holtzhausen, a stalwart in KwaZulu-Natal’s queer
community.
The space will be multi-purpose: a safe hangout for the queer community; an
entertainment venue; and eventually, in the near future, a non-profit organization that
offers love, care, counselling, and support for KZN’s diverse LGBTIQA+ communities.
The request:
All donations will be used to secure a charming old house in Windermere, Durban, just
off the famous Florida Road. It is quaint, quirky, spacious, but cosy.
The initial funds will pay for the rental deposit, renovations, cleanup, and furniture.
