💙 Life-Saving Procedure for Kelby Parker 💙
On the 7th of July, I almost lost the love of my life.
Kelby and I met when I was 13 and he was 15. I was smitten from the start, but we were close friends—like brother and sister—for years before a spark finally ignited when I was 19. In February 2025, we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. We had no idea it could be our last.
Since January, Kelby had been treated for what we believed was a prostate issue. But the truth was far more serious: a burst abscess in his colon had caused severe sepsis throughout his body. Despite seeing multiple doctors and doing everything we thought was right, the real issue went undetected.
After a prostate operation on 11 June, Kelby just wasn’t recovering. He grew weaker by the day. On my 50th birthday—4 July—his skin had turned grey, and by that weekend, he was in unbearable pain. On Monday, 7 July, we saw a gastroenterologist who immediately admitted him to ICU for an emergency, life-saving operation.
