About This Campaign
Hi, My name is Francois Naude, and I am from Western Cape, Somerset West.
As many of you know, I used to suffer from severe visual impairment due to cataracts in both my eyes. Then six years ago, I received two successful lens replacements and, effectively, the gift of sight.
Now it’s my turn to help someone else receive that same gift. His name is Limbani, and he works in my garden. He’s 37, from Malawi, and needs a new lens in his right eye. I ask you to help me to help him.
Limbani was only 9 when helping his mom in their small rice field on an island in the middle of Lake Malawi. He slipped and suffered a tragic accident that damaged his lens permanently.
For 28 years, Limbani has had no vision in his right eye. After my operations and the incredible difference it made in my life, I want the same for Limbani. We visited an ophthalmologist who has diagnosed that there is a chance to restore his vision, but that would require a significant fundraising effort.
Are you with me in doing something...
