Lindo**
Lindo is an 11-year-old boy who loves spending time with his friends. Lindo attends Thuthukani Special School and is currently in the foundation phase. Lindo travels to school via public transport.
Lindo has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair to get around. He can push himself short distances, giving him a sense of independence and allowing him to keep up with his friends as much as possible. Being able to move himself is not just about mobility; it’s about dignity, confidence, and belonging.
As he grows, however, new challenges have emerged. Lindo is developing scoliosis and other postural deformities due to his current seating not providing the support his body needs. Without appropriate postural support, these challenges may worsen, leading to discomfort, fatigue, pain, and reduced ability to participate in everyday activities he loves.
What Lindo urgently needs is a specialised postural support wheelchair. This chair is designed to properly support his spine and posture while still allowing him the freedom to push himsel...
