I am Alethea Visser an under 19 long jump athlete, and the current Long Jump record holder of Gauteng, South Africa, with a distance of 5.96m.
Ever since I first stepped onto the track, I’ve been captivated by the challenge and beauty of the long jump. The discipline, the focus, the explosive power – It’s more than a sport to me, it’s a passion that has shaped my life. I train relentlessly, push through setbacks, and continue to believe in my potential, even when the path gets tough.
Being selected to compete in the Top European Athletics Competition internationally in Sweden is a testament to the hard work I’ve put in, but the financial cost of travel, accommodation, and participation is something I can’t accomplish on my own.
