Baby Lwandile Bontle Ncube, is my friend's granddaughter. She should be enjoying her second birthday but instead she is stuck in a hospital bed in Zimbabwe with a belly full of fluids, she cannot move, crawl or walk.
It is really hard to look at her photos. It kills me, I can't even fanthom what her mom and grandma feel. Her grandma posted on her WhatsApp status yesterday, which was her birthday, her message read, " I should be buying a cake, gifts and balloons to celebrate your second birthday, yet here I am trying hard to raise funds to save your life
Lwandile was born with a blocked bileduct which was discovered late and has now done irreparable damage to her liver. She needs a liver transplant URGENTLY! THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL SAVE HER LIFE.
She was attended by Drs in South Africa but was later discharged as she is a foreign national and apparently, South African Drs cannot perform a liver transplant to a foreign national.
