Lydia Staats Radiation Treatment

A family member started a backabuddy campaign for me in March. I needed radiation after I had chemo and a mastectomy due to stage 3 breast cancer. The government hospitals has a 18 month backlog for radiation and put me on a waiting list. We couldn't raise enough funds for me to get radiation unfortunately.

In May my cancer was back in a lymph node and I was started on intensive chemo immediately because my oncologist feared that the cancer had already spread to other organs because it was a recurrence and I was sent for several scans.

Thankfully the cancer hasn't spread, so now I'm waiting for a date for surgery again, because my oncologist wants the cancer to be removed asap before it spreads. I was told I will still need radiation after surgery.

My surgery should be in the next week or 2 and then I'll get a few weeks to recover and then will need to start radiation. There is also a chance that the cancer can't be removed, as this lymph node is 180 degrees around a vein, and the Dr can't see on u...
