My name is Brigitte Ward, from Port Elizabeth (also known as Gqeberha), South Africa.
Our wonderful daughter, Madison Ward, has once again been selected as a member of the South African team to participate in the Trampoline and Tumbling World Championship and World Age Group Championship. This year the competition will be held in Birmingham, United Kingdom from 16-19 November this year.
Madison will be competing in the 13-14 year old age group. This year she has been selected to compete in the tumbling and double mini trampoline events. She has been tumbling and trampolining (including double mini) since the age of 7 years.
Despite suffering from absence seizures (a form of epilepsy), she has, through hard work and dogged determination, managed to make a success of the sport she so dearly loves.
