Hi All
Many of you will remember that we started a Backabuddy Campaign in November 2023 to assist my brother and sister-in-law with Madi's medical expenses.
A short recap - Madison was admitted to ICU last year, and thereafter airlifted from St Georges Hospital in Port Elizabeth to Constantiaberg Mediclinic in Cape Town, to the Neuroscience ward, under the care of Dr Butler.
Once Madi's seizures were under control and a treatment plan set out, she was able to return home to live a ‘normal’ life.
Fast forward to now - Unfortunately however, Madison has developed some long-term effects since her stroke - which include behavioral problems, hormonal imbalances & not sleeping, just to mention a few.
Over the last few weeks, Madi has had numerous blood tests, ultrasounds, consultations with a Psychiatrist as well as a Gynaecologist and there is a possibility of her needing to see an Endocrinologist.
