My name is Magda,
I have been struggling to get surgery done for my enlarged thyroid gland.
I went for the state option but got no progress made. I have been admitted for the surgery after 4 months of (SOPD) visits, but unfortunately they could not perform the surgery because of the lack of equipment and the anesthetist was not fit to work with the size of my thyroid.
They released me without performing the surgery and told me they would find a hospital that is equipped for the surgery. It has been 9 months since then. In the meantime, my quality of life has dropped significantly. I am having trouble sleeping since the lump in my neck is pressing on my airway. I choke very easily. Also very often it feels like something is stuck in my throat, even without eating anything.
I went to Mediclinic The specialist I saw sent me a quotation about the surgery and the anesthetist. The hospital sent the quotation for the hospital stay and theater use.If you find it in your heart to help me fund the surgery, I thank you dearly.
