Make a Dream Come Through

Jamie has been playing football since the age of 7. When Jamie attended creche, they discovered he had hearing difficulty, which affected his speech. He attends Tafelberg School, a special needs school, where he plays for the U19 first team. Jamie has consistently been a top-three student since 2016. His football achievements include Shosholoza U18 Engen Knockout Debut (2024), Tafelberg School – Most Valuable Junior Player (2019), and Bothasig AFC – U9A – Player of the Year (2018). 

Jamie currently plays U16 for Shosholoza Football Club, which is affiliated with Cape Town Tygerberg LFA and is also part of the U18 squad for the same club. Shosholoza FC has entered the MadCup 2024, which takes place in Madrid, Spain, from 21 to 26 June 2024. Jamie has been selected to participate and is fundraising to attend the event. 

Meshuggah is helping to raise funds for Jamie's departure on 11 June. The goal is to raise at least R35,000 to cover all his costs. If we can raise R75 000, Jamie's dad will be able to accompany him. We have raised R7,000 so far.
