Makena is a Netball fanatic January she was medically out of sports after an operation in her hand. After 3 months and a lot of prayers and faith she was declared fit for Netball by the Physio and found a position in HTS Witbank 2nd Team. They ended up 1st place in the MWU Pukke season and thus awarded an invitation to join the Singapore team in September. This was unexpected and filled her with a lot of excitement.
