đź’™ Help Support a Family After a Tragic Road Accident
On 28 December 2025, a family’s lives were changed forever following a tragic road accident in the Western Cape. A vehicle carrying several family members overturned, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of two young children, aged 5 and 16. Marius and Marthe are fostering 3 children with 3 of their own.
Several other family members were seriously injured and are currently receiving medical care in George. The road to recovery will be long and emotionally challenging, with ongoing medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and the heavy financial burden that comes with such an unexpected tragedy.
This BackaBuddy campaign has been created to support the family during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will go towards:
Medical and hospital expenses that medical aid does not cover
Rehabilitation and follow-up care
Funeral and related costs
Immediate living and support needs while the family heals
Assistance to top-up the insurance pay-out for a suitable vehicle.
