Marnu Maritz is not just a rugby player; he lives and breathes the sport. He is a dedicated team member and supports his team on and off the field. He takes pride in playing scrum half and sometimes full back for his team and is a essential team member. Since childhood, rugby has been his passion, his life, his everything. Every match sees him pouring his heart and soul into the game.
However, tragedy struck in 2023. Marnu's rugby journey came to a complete stop due to a freak accident while representing his school playing for the first team. The damage is severe – a torn ACL, his meniscus ruptured and twisted and two fractures.
After many consultations with doctors and specialists we have been left the harsh reality that Marnu urgently needs surgery to repair his knee. Without this procedure Marnu could have long-term complications with his knee.
