To Whom it may concern
Hi, my name is Megan Reid. I am a 13-year-old from Boksburg, Johannesburg. I am the Hockey 1st Team Goalie for Laerskool Baanbreker 2024.
During our school league it was unfortunate that I had to be hospitalized due to abdominal pain. Doctors initially thought it was my appendix, but I actually had a benign Haemorrhagic cyst on my right ovary – doctors off coarse charge above medical aid rates and my parents still have outstanding medical fees.
My Goalie journey for 2024 rapidly took flight. I took part of the Rhino Sevens Tournament in September for the Backstixxx Hockey Academy. I played Goalie for two age groups – o/15 & o/18. The o/18 team ended 2nd in the Tournament and the o/15s 5th. I also played field for the o/11 & o/13 teams as there was not enough players – Who said a Goalie can’t play any other position?
With this being said… I was invited on 29 October 2024 by the Eastern Gauteng Quaggas to play in their PSI National 1 Indoor hockey team in Cape Town this D...
