Melisca Everson Swimming competitions

Melisca Everson is a parra swimmer and athlete.She is working hard to qualify for Parralymics 2028.She is part of the EADP group in Durban.From birth she had lots of struggles.From heart surgery at the age of 6 months ,finding out she has cerabral palsy from the hips down and menigitus.Born with a cataract and going for a lense replacement.We decide to raise her as a normal child to participate in everything and not bubble wrapping her.The best decision we ever made.She has been swimming from grade 1.

She set a new SA record in the 50 fly event and discus at last year and is working hard to set some more records this year.

Her journey is not always easy but she always tackles the bull by his horns and giving up is not for her.She wants to study Biokenetics of Physio next year and wants to start a campaine to inspire children with disabilities to realise that a disability should not make you hide from this world.You can also shine.
