Miles for Ms Mrasi: A Run of Love and Support
Our children's beloved teacher, Ms Mrasi, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
Ms Mrasi isn’t just a teacher — she’s the heart of our children’s classroom. She is warm, kind, and strong, with a sense of humour that lights up our girls’ day on a daily basis. She makes each child in her care feel loved, safe, and truly seen — a mother figure away from home, something truly important to all of us mommies!
But her strength stretches far beyond the classroom.
Ms Mrasi is also a single mother to a wonderful son with special needs, who is currently writing his matric exams — a milestone she is immensely proud of. She supports him entirely on her own. Her story is one of perseverance and purpose: starting out as a teaching assistant, studying part-time to earn her qualification, and rising to teach at one of Cape Town’s most prestigious schools.
Now, she faces the toughest battle of her life.
