On the 21st of March I’m taking on the Up Active Prom Backyard Ultra, a race with no fixed distance or finish line. Every hour, on the hour, I’ll run 6.7km. When the hour starts we go again. And again. And again.
I’m not doing this for a medal. I’m doing it for children who don’t get to choose when their challenge ends.
I’m running in support of the Smile Foundation, an incredible South African organisation that provides life-changing reconstructive surgery and medical care to children born with facial anomalies.
These procedures don’t just restore smiles, they restore confidence, dignity, and the chance at a normal childhood.
