Background story of Miné:
My daughter is 17 years old and she was born with Dubowitz syndrome. Very rare syndrome, One of the symptoms are slow muscle and bone development, but despite the syndrome Miné was still a very active child..
Last year she started complaining about lower back pain. I took her to her GP and she suggested we do core muscle exercise to see if it will help strengthen her muscles and if it will help with the back pain. It did help for a while but In November 2025 she started complaining again about the pain, but this time it was worse. It radiated through her left leg and she had a pelvic tilt to the right. I then took her back to the GP and she was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. We got an appointment on the 28th of January 2026 and we went to see him.
PROGNOSIS:
The orthopedic surgeon did x-rays and gave me the bad news that she had developed spodyloptosis.
