Montez Swanepoel- Help a mom fighting Cancer

On 4 May 2026, 38-year-old Montez Swanepoel went for a mammogram after experiencing concerns about her health. During the examination, doctors discovered a 5cm lump in her left breast, and an urgent biopsy was immediately recommended.

Because of the seriousness of the situation and the extremely long waiting lists at Johannesburg General Hospital, her GP advised that the biopsy be done privately through the Breast Wellness Institute.

Montez is a loving mother, a devoted sister, and a dear friend to so many. She is also a single mother who is currently unemployed, without medical aid, and simply unable to afford the urgent medical expenses she now faces. The biopsy alone will cost R20 000.

Due to a very strong family history of breast cancer, doctors have indicated there is a 90% possibility that the lump could be cancerous. Time is critical, and getting this biopsy done as soon as possible is essential so that treatment can begin immediately if needed.
