My name is Mthokozisi, and I am a student at Wits University doing BSc in Engineering (Mining). I was raised in Mpumalanga province at Kwaggafontein. I am a dedicated student who has a strong drive to further his education, learn new skills and has a passion to expand knowledge in the mining sector.


Growing up, I had a strong belief that university was a key to be successful. So far, it has increased my knowledge and made me feel equipped and competent in dealing with the world. I chose to be in the mining industry because it is one of the large industries which act as a catalyst for economic progress especially in South Africa. The expansion of mining operations often results in the creation of downstream sectors, which have an impact on the entire economy. And that is something i want to be a part of.
