Our brother, Myles Harris, was diagnosed with bladder cancer on the 21st of April 2024
As a lot of you may know, Myles has chronic epilepsy and is not able to work or live independently. Due to the financial situation, Myles does not have private medical aid.
On the 16th of April Myles went to see a doctor after having severe stomach pains, urinating a lot of blood and blood clots, the doctor stated that Myles needed to see a specialist as soon as possible.
After seeing the specialist Myles was admitted due to the immediate concern to have a cystotomy.
We would have attempted going to a public hospital for this due to no medical aid but with the severity of the situation we had no time to waste trying to get seen to.
What the surgeon found was a massive tumour of which he managed to remove 90% of it at the time.
