Nandi the Zebra needs urgent veterinary care.

Dr Shanzelle Rabie from Animavet in Pretoria attended to Nandi and she reacted really well to the treatment. Althoug we will still need to keep an eye on her over the next few days, we believe she has pulled though the worst. Although it is not confirmed, all symptoms point to the bite coming from a Nightadder ( which is the lesser of the evils as the venom wouldnt cause the tissue to rot).
From the bottom of our stripey hearts! Thank you SO much for your kindness in helping us to secure quick treatment for Nandi. We were left speechless at the Love, kindness and support from our tribe!

Our beautiful, feisty girl was bitten by a snake. We have arranged for a wildlife vet to attend to her urgently, but the treatment costs are around R8,000 - an expense we simply didn't see coming.
