In July’ 23, my insurance company, Santam, paid out a claim to fix my leaking roof and damaged walls due to rising damp in my bathroom and lounge. My sister recommended a contractor named Tyrone Adonis from Acta Projects, who had done maintenance work for her block of flats and others in the area. I asked Tyrone to give me a quote, and he quoted me R34000. Although I thought it was a bit high, I accepted the quote because he did not want to compromise on the quality of the materials he uses.

On October 6, 2023, Tyrone's team came out for the fourth time to fix the leaks, do waterproofing, and paint the damaged walls.
